Refund Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026 · This policy covers refunds on every cybersoftware plan.

The short version

  • Monthly ($199 a month): cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, and nothing is charged after that. Monthly payments are not refunded.
  • Yearly ($2,189 a year): a full refund within 14 days of payment, as long as no audit has been booked or started and no audit package has been exported.
  • Audits: refundable until the audit firm starts fieldwork. Once fieldwork starts, the audit is not refundable.

What you can get refunded

  • A yearly plan, within 14 days of payment. Full refund if you have not booked an audit, no audit has started, and you have not exported the audit package. The plan ends when the refund is made.
  • A paid audit, before fieldwork starts. Full refund of the audit.

What we cannot refund

  • Monthly payments. Cancel any time and you are not charged again, but a month already paid is not refunded.
  • Yearly after 14 days, or sooner once an audit is booked or started or the package is exported.
  • An audit once fieldwork has started. The partner firm's work is under way and cannot be undone.
  • Unused time. Cancelling a yearly plan stops the renewal. The rest of the paid year is not prorated.
  • Admin-waived accounts. If you did not pay anything, there is nothing to refund.

What you keep

A refund or a cancellation never takes back what is already yours. Every report already issued, and your downloads, stay yours forever, and public verification of an issued report stays live. When a plan ends, your workspace returns to the free plan.

How to request a refund

Email surya@cybersoftware.com with the subject line "Refund request" and include:

  • The email address on your cybersoftware account
  • The Stripe order ID or rough date of payment
  • One sentence on why. Not because we are gatekeeping, but because we want to learn what to fix

We reply within 1 business day. If approved, the refund is made through Stripe and lands on your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

If something goes wrong

If our platform has a bug, our partner auditor drops the ball, or anything else on our side prevents you from completing your audit, we will make it right, including a refund outside the windows above.

Disputes and chargebacks

We strongly prefer that you email us before filing a chargeback with your card issuer. Chargebacks cost both sides money and time, and we will work with you faster directly. That said, your statutory chargeback rights are not waived by these terms.

Why the line sits where it does: an audit is real work by a partner firm with real costs once it starts, and an exported package can be taken to any auditor. Before either happens we can refund without risk to either side. After, the work is done. Everything else is conversation. The cybersoftware team.
